Behemothin Nergal taitaa tosissaan pitää Suomesta – ylistää estoitta täkäläistä yleisöä

Suomi mainittu, ja varsin sydäntälämmittävällä tavalla! Behemoth soitti juuri kaksi keikkaa maassamme, ja yhtyeen johtaja Nergal innostui kirjoittamaan kotimatkalla ylistävää tekstiä meikäläisestä metalliskenestä.

”Yleisö kuuluu parhaisiin, mitä olen missään nähnyt”, Nergal toteaa ykskantaan.

”Se taputus. Kuulostaa helpolta, eikö? Yhdeksässä keikkapaikassa kymmenestä ihmisillä ei kuitenkaan ole mitään rytmitajua. Useimmat katsojat eivät osaa taputtaa rytmissä. Mutta näin ei ole Suomessa. Se on pieni yksityiskohta, mutta se näyttää, miten tällä kansalla on musiikki verissä.”

Nergal myös innostuu kehumaan kovasti Beherit-yhtyeen Marko Laihoa (alias Nuclear Holocausto Vengeance), jonka puolalainen nimeää yhdeksi nuoruusikänsä suurimmista innoittajista.

”Yksi parhaista black metal -bändeistä koskaan”, Nergal toteaa.

We have just completed two sold out shows in Finland. On my way back to Germany with bag of touching and deeply memorable emotions… Those Finns belong to the best audiences I’ve ever witnessed u know? Clapping. Sounds easy no? 9/10 places we play in ppl have no fuckin’ sense of rhythm… most of crowds DO NOT know how to clap and keep up the tempo. Many times they crank up the pace and we losing it too after all…😉 But NOT in Finland. It’s a detail but I did notice it and it just shows this nation has music in their veins, deep in their system. Hands down Suomi! I also collected two gorgeous gifts: a Beherit shirt handed to me by Marko aka Holocausto himself. For those who do not know… one of the best BM bands ever and one of the strongest sources of inspirations for 15 years old Nergal (THEN Holocausto! How creative of u Mr. Darski 🤮😉). And the book, beautifully released in leather hard cover with golden embossed title “The history of Finish Black Metal”, full of ancient materials, photos, interviews with classic acts like Beherit, I.Nazarene, Clandestine Blaze and more…! Kiitos Suomi. Both gigs already belong to the highlights of Ecclesia Diabolica Evropa tour!…and see ya in June legions?!😉
