Elokuun 9. päivä vuonna 1986 Queen esiintyi 120 000 katsojalle Knebworth Parkissa, Englannissa. Kyseessä oli A Kind of Magic -albumin tiimoilta tehdyn kiertueen päätöskeikka, joka jäi samalla laulaja Freddie Mercuryn viimeiseksi Queenin keulilla. ”Hyvää yötä ja kauniita unia!” jäivät miehen viimeisiksi sanoiksi paikalla olleelle massiiviselle Queen-fanikunnalle.
Vaikka yhtye ei enää keikkaillutkaan, julkaisi se vielä The Miracle– ja Innuendo -levyt, ennen kuin Mercury menehtyi 24. marraskuuta 1991 aidsin aiheuttamiin komplikaatioihin.
